The ‘Press Start: Games Founding Grant’ is a funding programme that supports the creation of new game development studios in Germany. An expert jury will select up to 130 founders from all over Germany for the project, which is designed with a cultural focus.

The application phase ran from 28 October to 17 November 2024. The programme is being implemented by us in collaboration with game – The German Games Industry Association and funded by the Minister of State for Culture and the Media. As the Foundation for Digital Games Culture, we are responsible for the organisation and supervision of the application and jury process as well as the conception and implementation of the workshops and coaching measures.
