‘Game Mixer’ is an international exchange programme for game developers from Germany and all over the world.

With the ‘Game Mixer’ programme, the Foundation for Digital Games Culture and the German Computer Games Awards work in cooperation with Goethe-Institut to promote exchange between German game developers and international colleagues. ‘Game Mixer’ defines itself as a peer learning programme and source of inspiration for cross-border cultural exchange.

In addition to presenting the best German-produced games, the programme facilitates new contacts with the emerging games industry of the respective host country within the framework of workshops, showcases and game jams. The first ‘Game Mixer’ took German game creators to Indonesia in 2015. This was followed by trips to Brazil and South Africa and an event for foreign developers in Cologne. The format was continued in 2021 with the ‘Game ’n’ Train Mixer Online: India’.
